Time Management



Time management is a very impotant skill that most people lack. It’s a skill that helps you when you need to get things done.This skill helps you become more professional but as well assists you to achieve goals. Without time management you will have more stress, increased sleep problems, and mental health issues. As a student there are many reasons why having that crucial skill of time management is beneficial. 

This skill is very useful for students because they have good practices for the workforce. The students that practice this skill are more productive, have more energy, feel less stressed, have more free time, feel better about themselves, and relate more positively to others. There’s many strategies that will help you improve your time management. Here’s some ways to assist you, the first one is to set priorities as focusing on the activities that are the most important, which allows you to gain greater control over your time and may reduce the number of important tasks. Another practice is to avoid multitasking because it doesn’t actually save you time, in fact it does the opposite,because you  are losing time from switching from task to task. Instead focus on just one task at a time by keeping your area clear of distractions, including turning off notifications on your devices, and set aside dedicated time for specific tasks. There’s so many different ways but one of the most important ways to manage your time is to stop procrastinating. Most people put off their tasks since it might be too overwhelming. A way to stop procrastinating is by splitting up the task into different sections or doing it first thing in the morning. There is a 7-8-9 rule when it comes to time management which means distributing 7 hours to sleep, 8 hours to work or study, and 9 hours to personal activities and relaxation to balance the day. This rule will help you manage your time with work as well as having a time for yourself.

In conclusion, there are benefits of time management for students as in better academic performance, they are able to develop self-discipline, reduce stress, and increase productivity. All of these benefits are what help students succeed for their future career, and that if you follow those strategies you can become the best student and version of yourself. Don’t forget to use the 7-8-9 rule for time management and you will be able to succeed in everything you do.
