How to Handle Trash Talk



Trash talk can happen in sports, games, or even online, and it’s meant to make you upset or lose focus. The first step to handling trash talk is to stay calm and not let it get to you. When you respond with anger, it gives the other person what they want.



Instead of reacting, try to ignore the comments and focus on what you're doing. Show confidence through your actions, not your words. Staying focused and doing your best is the best way to prove your strength without saying anything back.



If the trash talk goes too far or becomes bullying, it’s okay to speak up or tell someone you trust. You don’t have to deal with disrespect alone. Staying calm, confident, and respectful is the best way to rise above trash talk and keep your cool.
