How to embrace failure

What is failure? It’s the lack of success or achieving something or performance. As some students have mentioned, failure to them just means not winning, not doing things right, and disappointment. Being able to embrace failure is all in the mindset, because even if it doesn’t go your way. Doesn’t mean it is the end, it just means that you need to work harder the next time. It’s a stepping stone for growth, showing how you want to improve. This allows you to separate your self-worth from your outcomes, understanding that failing doesn’t make you a failure, it makes you human.

Don’t ever give up after taking a wrong turn, being able to grow and learn from what you did wrong. Will help you a lot especially in your self-growth journey. Being okay with getting things wrong on a test, or an assignment and learning what you did wrong and growing from it. Another thing is to view failure as feedback, there is no failure, only feedback; it’s all learning. One’s mindset around failure matters, taking failure positively changes your mood and how you act around people. Learn the lesson and then move on, as in what one person would consider a failure another would see as a success because now they have discovered how to do things better next time. Shift your mindset from performance to purpose, leaders can shift their mindset from performance to purpose to better understand why things didn’t go the way they planned. As well removing the ego and let failure reveal new ideas, failures force us to open up because they take us down. It feels vulnerable to be in a position where you do not have the answer or have failed. It’s really just a stepping stone to a deeper, wiser solution that’s wanting to come out of you. It takes removing the ego, the old way of thinking to allow the brilliance to come in and a willingness to see the new perspective. These are all different ways to embrace failure as a student and a leader.

In conclusion, failure leads to new ideas, and that it is okay to fail. No matter what failure makes you human, not a failure. Plus you can always learn and grow from your mistakes. Once you grow from them and expand your knowledge. All these ways will help you develop as a person and let you know how to become the best version of yourself. Just never give up no matter how big the failure is, get back up and keep going. In the end you will succeed.
