Being Honest About Your Feelings

You don’t have to pretend that everything is fine when it’s not. It’s okay to feel down. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to need time to rest. You are not the only one who feels like this, even if it sometimes seems like you are.
Some people may feel like they are stuck in a hole they can’t get out of. They may think things will never get better. But just like how night always turns into day, better times will come. You might not see the light right now, but it’s there and it’s waiting for you.
You don’t have to go through this alone. There are people who care about you and want to help. Friends, family members, teachers, counselors, or even kind strangers can be there to listen. Talking about your feelings is a brave and strong thing to do.
You are allowed to ask for help. You are allowed to take a break. You are allowed to take care of yourself.
No matter how bad things feel, remember this: you matter. Your story is not over. You are strong. You are enough. And you are never alone.
